Bundeswehr Command and Staff College
The Faculty of Political/Strategic Studies and Social Sciences (PSS), led by a civilian faculty head, is made up of civilian and military scientists, who pursue research activities and give lectures in various subject areas.
The PSS Faculty is in charge of developing and further evolving education in the fields of political and social sciences. In particular, we focus on the following topics:
Scientific methods are applied to identify, analyse and evaluate current national and international developments and challenges. The resulting findings are then published and incorporated into our teaching activities.
The faculty cooperates closely with civilian and military leaders as well as with academic and other public and private institutions and organisations in Germany and abroad. A good example is the master’s programme ‘Military Leadership and International Security’, which is conducted in cooperation with the Helmut Schmidt University / Bundeswehr University, Hamburg.
