In May 2023, the Bundeswehr received the last of the 3.271 unprotected military all-terrain transport vehicles (deadweight classes 5 to 15 tons) that had been ordered in total. The open-end procurement contract concluded by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBwBundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr) in January 2017 was thus fulfilled one year before its expiration.

BundeswehrAfter a first firm order of 558 vehicles in March 2018, further orders in the following years and a batch of 1.000 vehicles in the context of the economic stimulus package, the last vehicle was now fielded at the Karlsruhe materiel storage site.
With their high mobility and flexibility (transport of supplies and cabins), the vehicles are an essential resource of the armed forces, both for road transport and on unpaved paths in open terrain.
The competent BAAINBwBundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr branches are currently considering a supplementary procurement in order to meet the already identified demand for additional vehicles.
